Description:
Built in July 1954 by the Budd Company as Northern Pacific 313 for Northern Pacific’s North Coast Limited. Burlington Northern number 1443 was assigned, but never applied to the car. Amtrak 9214 from 1971 thru retirement in the late 1970s. Acquired by Inland Pacific Rail in 1993 and stored in Spokane for a quarter-century. Purchased by Webb Rail, LLC. After extensive mechanical/cosmetic repairs and upgrades, Northern Pacific 313 is again ready for service on Amtrak. Nothing beats the view from a vista-dome! Relax upstairs in the dome lounge (bar with seating at sofas and tables), or enjoy the privacy of one master bedroom, 4 double bedrooms (each with lower and upper bed) and 3 roomettes (with single bed) downstairs. The car enhances the original 1954 design with the luxury of a new master bedroom and modern conveniences to create a truly memorable travel experience. Diesel generator provides power when not connected to a train or ground power. Based out of Albany-Rensselaer, New York.
