The Chapel Hill was built in 1922 by American Car and Foundry for E.F. Hutton and his wife Marjorie Merriweather Post. In 1937, Post sold the car to the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, where it remained for some 40 years before being purchased and refurbished by DeWitt Chapple in 1972. The car currently accommodates 8 passengers with 1 master bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, a single room, a convertible sofa bed, shower, dining room, observation lounge, and open rear platform.
