Relax upstairs in the dome lounge (seating at sofas and tables), or downstairs in the spacious groupings of comfortable club chairs and reclining coach seats, all arranged for unobstructed sightseeing. The car enhances the original 1957 design with modern conveniences to create a truly memorable travel experience. Diesel generator provides power when not connected to a train or ground power. Based out of Albany-Rensselaer, New York.

Built December of 1957 by the Budd Company for Northern Pacific’s North Coast Limited. Burlington Northern number 4616 was assigned, but never applied to the car. Amtrak 9476 from 1971 thru retirement in the late 1970s. Acquired by Inland Pacific Rail in 1993 and stored in Spokane for a quarter-century. Purchased by Webb Rail, LLC. After extensive mechanical/cosmetic repairs and upgrades, Northern Pacific 549 is again ready for service on Amtrak.
